Do you make custom observation hives or different frame types?
Yes. Custom observation hives can be made upon request.
I can adjust dimensions and build hives for different frame types such as Langstroth Medium, Hoffman, British National, and other systems.
Please contact me before ordering to discuss your requirements.

Are the frames included?
No. Frames are not included for safer packaging and shipping.
The hive is built to standard frame dimensions so you can easily use your own frames.

Is this observation hive safe for classrooms and educational use?
Yes. The hive is designed for safe and controlled bee observation.
Plexiglass panels, solid wood construction, and removable light-blocking covers allow bees to remain protected and undisturbed during observation.

What materials are used?
Each observation hive is made from solid natural wood (ash or ash & walnut, depending on the model) and 4 mm plexiglass panels.
The surface is hand-finished with natural beeswax and oils, without synthetic or harsh coatings.

Can I order custom engraving?
Yes. Custom engraving is available upon request.
You can add text, a name, or a logo.
For logo engraving, a vector file (SVG, AI, PDF) is recommended for the best result.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. I ship worldwide from Serbia.
Shipping costs and available options are automatically calculated at checkout based on your location.
All packages are insured where possible, unless the destination country does not accept insurance.

Will I need to pay customs duties or import taxes?
Buyers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, or import taxes that may apply in their country.
These charges are not included in the product price.

How long does it take to make the hive?
Each hive is handcrafted to order.
Standard hives are usually ready within 1–5 business days. Custom hives may take longer depending on the design, engraving requirements, and current workload.
If you need a specific timeframe, feel free to contact me before ordering.

Is each hive identical?
No. Each observation hive is handmade, and slight variations in wood grain and appearance are natural and part of the craftsmanship.

What if my hive is damaged during shipping?
All packages are carefully packed to minimize damage.
If a product arrives damaged, you must report it to your local post office within 24 hours to submit a claim.
Once the claim is submitted, return the damaged package at our expense and we will send a replacement at our cost.
